Tandem Rhino Hyde® Polyurethane Trommel Screens

Tandem Products, Inc. took on the challenge to make a polyurethane screen that would be cost effective and yet out-perform the current punch plate panels.

After reviewing the conditions present in the Trommel screen, Tandem developed a resin formula and proprietary, patentable screens. Initial testing started in December of 1998 and a prototype panel was made to fit exactly as the current panels. This first test panel was removed from service in September of 1999. The performance was achieved with a screen that weighed approximately 55 pounds at a cost approximately twice that of the punch plate panel. The light weight allows normal handling without the need of a crane for installation and replacement. This product was a huge success for Tandem and the customer. To date, the customer replaced 108 punch plate screen panels with Rhino Hyde trommel screen panels, in a continuing replacement process.

In addition to being performance and cost effective, the Rhino Hyde polyurethane screen panels have saved the customer thousands of dollars in labor and maintenance costs.

Tandem Rhino Blade and Tensioning System

The Rhino Blade Tensioning System was developed for an excellent belt cleaning effect using a simple structure to achieve better cost-efficiency. The innovation put into this system uses the recovery principles of a high memory synthetic material as the source for the tensioning force.

Unlike other systems using pneumatics or springs, the Rhino Blade System, utilizing fewer moving parts, is far more reliable and nearly maintenance-free. Just set it and forget it! The genuine Rhino Hyde urethane blade insures you of thorough, even belt cleaning in wet and dry conditions with long blade wear life.

DuraSlide® Xylethon®

Xylethon is a dramatically new concept in industrial plastimeric material. Xylethon has a smooth and non-stick surface which is highly abrasion resistant. With use or with constant flow of materials over its surface, Xylethon work-hardens, which increases its strength and reduces its coefficient of friction. Xylethon's coefficient of friction is .08-.12 as produced, and decreases upon work-hardening. The wearing surface of Xylethon has a tendency to polish rather than become serrated as most other industrial plastics do.

The unique molecular structure of Xylethon makes it the most dense plastimeric material available to the industry. Xylethon is totally resistant to moisture absorption and is not generally affected by corrosive fluids. Xylethon's matrix contains small amounts of silicon oil and molybdenum disulfide. Due to the alloyed content of Xylethon's composite matrix, it has superior dimensional stability when compared to P.V.C., Polyethylene, U.H.M.W. and Polyurethane.

DuraWear ALOTEC®

DuraWear Corporation enables you to win the war against severe industrial abrasion with ALOTEC®, the remarkable technological advancement in wear resistant ceramic tile. Developed and manufactured by DuraWear from years of intensive research and practical in-field experience, ALOTEC® is the only wear resistant material that effectively resists both impact abrasion and sliding abrasion. As a result, ALOTEC® saves the materials handling industry more maintenance dollars than other wear resistant lining available.

ALOTEC® is a high density ceramic composed of 92% microcrystalline alpha alumina and less than 2% silica. ALOTEC® has the highest density (227.2 lbs/ft³) and the lowest residual silica content of any commercially available ceramic tile. In field applications and laboratory tests, ALOTEC® has consistently out performed in both wear and impact resistance. ALOTEC® is the most effective and economical ceramic tile on the market.
