The Engart Dust Extractor For Power Utility, Mining And Heavy Process Industries

ENGART dust extraction systems are trouble free compact, reliable dust management units designed to remove

- NO EXPLOSION RISK AS IS POSSIBLE WITH DRY COLLECTION SYSTEMS
Pacificorp purchased
the Engart System for their Tripper Room to replace their current Dry Collection System. One of the primary reasons
was to eliminate the threat of a coal dust explosion. Many Power Utility operators have had explosions and/or
coal related fires, which have instilled the need for explosion doors and some type of fire suppression system
to prevent progression to their dry collectors.

The Engart System uses a self-flushing extraction panel that will last for
many years, AEP was impressed with the ability of the Engart System to eliminate the problems they currently
face with dry collectors.
- NO NEED FOR COMPRESSED AIR
- EXHAUST INSIDE
Pacificorp received approval from the Wyoming DEQ to eliminate their
Tripper Room dust collectors as an emission source by installing the Engart System and venting the exhaust
inside the room. Wyoming DEQ has approved the Engart System as BACT (Best Available Control Technology),
and made a personal visit to the plant to inspect the system and were pleased with its performance. AEP
has used a combination of exhaust situations at Gavin, Muskingum River Plant, Oklaunion, and Mountaineer.

The Scherer Plant in Macon, GA wanted a system that provided low maintenance
and high collection efficiencies, the Engart System has cleaned up their fugitive dust at the Crusher House.
Fresnillo Silver Mine in Mexico needed to move high volumes of air at a low cost and extremely low
maintenance. BHP Mines in South Africa-Ingwe Coal, and Samancor (BHP subsidiary) selected Engart for its
high dust collection efficiencies and low maintenance.

Many dry collection systems "pack up" with dust and experience a dramatic
increase in the internal system pressure which in turn lowers the carrying velocity and hence the total volume
of air (vacuum) at the collection points. We have found this to be true when installing our system as a retrofit-
we typically clean out the old ducts within a few minutes. Mingo Logan Coal Co. and ARCH COAL selected
the Engart System to handle the dust collection at its Preparation Plant; because of the problems they experienced
using Dry Collection Systems with their partially wetted dust. Wetted dust and dry systems do not get along!
