Industrial VacuumsThe vacuums can pay for themselves in a short period of time if the material has value, like copper or gold ore. Operation is simple- press the run button on the digital display, pick up the nozzle head and start cleaning up. How does it work?
What kind of materials will it pick up?Large Rock: Figure 1 below shows a 150 HP MaxVac that was shipped to a copper mine in Arizona, USA. This machine was put on rails beside an overland conveyor. It is sized to pick up 8" rocks. Another machine like it was used to follow a tunnel boring machine to remove all the debris generated. ![]() Fines and dust: Figure 2 shows a typical dust pile that has formed on a belt with leaking dust seals (see DCT for a solution to this problem). ![]() The MaxVac can remove this dust easily. Figure 3 shows a picture of another demo where fines are being removed beneath a conveyor. ![]() The fines contain a high concentration of ore and have value. The table below estimates this value from putting the fines back into the process.
If the vacuum is only used 150 days per year, then up to $245,000 will be obtained by processing this material. Payback of the machine is accomplished within a few months.
